Lunic is the music of songwriter/multi-instrumentalist Kaitee Page accompanied by electric midi violinist Megan Berson and oftentimes a live drummer.
Lunic's recent work is a blend of dark ethereal synthpop and dancy electronic indie similar to Metric, The xx, The Kills, Ladytron, or Garbage. Instead of arranging the songs with typical instrumentation, Page uses a unique combination of real + virtual instruments, pedals, effects, & MIDI to carefully concoct the sounds for each song.
Lunic's debut album, Lovethief, was released May 2009. Lovethief was funded completely by Lunic fans around the world via crowd-sourcing website, Sellaband.com. Lunic has toured the US, UK, & Canada and have shared the stage with artists such as Moby, Creed, Company of Thieves, Bell X1, Dredg, Robert Francis, & Meiko.
